Food & Wine

Whether it is writing a restaurant review, chef profile, or a column about everything from asparagus to zinfandel, I am up for the challenge. After running my own catering business while creating original recipes and menus, and spending as much time in restaurants and cooking classes, I am ready to tackle any topic - how to make perfect eggs Benedict every time, the tomato peeler - the gadget that will change your life, and raw food - will it ever catch on?

I am passionate about yellow tomatoes, Toronto's Peter Pan and anything that James Beard said, wrote and made. I promise to bring that same passion to my food writing.

I cover everything to do with food (just try me) and am reviewing restaurants and writing about various food topics for a number of publications.

I am the restaurant writer and columnist for Dine. To, where you can find out everything you want to know about eating out in the city.  I do restaurant profiles, along with features articles and my 2 columns debut in December.  Here is the first one that focuses on food trends.  The second one, Here’s the Dish, is about the newest Toronto restaurants.

Click on Writing Samples to view the archive of restaurants that I have visited.

And I have taken over doing Chef Profiles from the lovely Sara Waxman at Dine.TO.  They will be posted about once a month.  Here are a first couple:

Tawfik Shehata of Vertical, Paul Boehmer of Rosewater Supper Club and Jason Bangerter of Auberge du Pommier.

I’m doing a new column for Dine.TO about restaurant news, openings and closings, so be sure to check it out every month.  Here’s the latest one:

I am the new columnist for eatdrink magazine, where I’ll be writing about food trends, how to eat healthy when dining out and a number of exciting topics!

I am also Editor and feature writer for the new online food magazine pan, that explores the people, places and stories behind the food that Canadians love. This is where I get to dish about everything there is to do with food and every Monday, I post a food or cookbook review.

Recently, I wrote about Homemade Sweets and cooking with cranberries for Muskoka magazine, and wine tetra paks for TIDINGS magazine.  I have upcoming pieces on how to incorporate quinoa, bulgur and couscous into your diet, finding and choosing organic wines and how to make your own ketchup!

I have a couple of food columns debuting in the new year and many more articles that will be published.  Check back here for updates and more food news!
