New Travel Article – Boston Has Something for the Whole Family

If you’re looking for somewhere affordable and fun to visit, consider Holidays to Boston.

Boston is one of those cities that truly has something for everyone in the family. It’s easy to get around and you don’t have to spend a lot of money in order to have a good time. In fact, much of it is free, including the arts,  such as visiting Harvard University and their incredibly mesmerizing bookstore, walk along Newbury Street where you can visit many intriguing galleries and pop into the beautiful Boston Public Library.

Beacon Hill is a historic area, lined with cobblestone streets that you can stroll with ease. And make sure you put good food on your daily itinerary. You can visit Faneuil Hall Marketplace that offers 17 restaurants and 40 pushcarts in which to find great food.  Do a little shopping too while you’re there as well!

If you’re a sports fan, visiting Fenway Park is probably going to be high on your to-do list. Don’t forget Harvard has a stadium as well and TD Garden is New England’s Premier Sports and Entertainment Arena.

And while I can recommend a number of sites to visit, simply look up and around – the architecture is stunning.  There is a wonderful blend of old and new buildings that should not go unnoticed.

Sigh.  I told you there was a ton to do!

New Travel Article – The Old & New World Charms of Montreal

There is so much to love about Montreal, the second-largest city in Canada.

The shops and architecture, a blend of old-world-meeting-new-world, offers something for everyone.

There is Old Montreal, where you can walk down narrow cobblestone streets and finish your evening with a meal at Gibby’s.  It’s located in the Youville Stables which, according to their website, “is part of a series of buildings once belonging to the Sisters of  Charity, (or Grey Nuns).”  Part of the original structure was built in 1694.

If you’re looking for something more modern, you’ll probably like the rooms at Hotel Le Dauphin Downtown where you not only get a computer with high-speed internet and wi-fi in your room, to use for free with your accommodation, but a  DVD player so you can rent a movie,  flat screen Plasma TV and a beautiful glass shower in a marble-tiled, heated floor bathroom.

Of course there are museums and galleries, restaurants and cafes, clothing stores, festivals, casinos and so much to see and do, that you may have to make a number of trips.

That’s what I’ve done.  And each and every time, I experience something new and exciting.
