Open/Closed for week of May 7-13

What a great week in the city - some exciting openings and what looks like finally, a weekend on the patio!! Check it out:

Eggspectation
483 Bay St.

Opening their doors to the public yesterday, Eggspectation is back, and this time in style - at Bell Trinity Square, right next to the Eaton Centre and steps away from both old and new City Halls.

Two things that make it stand out:

1. The new space is light and modern and spacious. Ahhh…
2. While a bevy of breakfast options are available (omelets, eggs benedict, french toast, smoothies, etc.), there are lunch and dinner items as well (crepes, burgers, steak, pastas, salads, sandwiches).

Smoque N Bones
869 Queen St. W.

The barbeque/smokehouse craze continues with this slim space that opened this week across from Trinity Bellwoods Park.

On the menu? Pulled pork sammies, ribs and the usual Southern sides.

Bring on the napkins…

People’s Eatery
307 Spadina Ave.

People’s Eatery opened Tuesday, and is brought to us by the same great folks at 416 Snack Bar.

It’s sure to be a hit with an eclectic menu by Dustin Gallagher and two floors of swanky space, smack dab in the middle of Chinatown, and right next to foodie fave, Swatow

Keeping the same hours as 416, they’re open 7 days a week from 5 pm to 2 am, serving food the entire time.

See you there.

earth Rosedale
1055 Yonge St.

earth Rosedale does its final service this Sunday night, as they were not able to renew their lease.

Owner Ed Ho says,“ We have made many great friends in Rosedale and I am very proud of what we have accomplished in the five years here.”

Luckily, you can still enjoy the Danforth location – Globe Bistro - that recently underwent renovations, offers new menus and an incredibly sexy rooftop patio.
