Open/Closed for the week of January 11-17

The city continues to expand its restaurant offerings with a ton of intriguing offerings, along with some more closings.

Take a look at the very latest:

 

 

 

 

Open:

Basso Pizzeria
320 Queen St. E.

Opened just Tuesday night at 5pm, this new pizzeria has a full Italian menu (tapas offerings are available in the afternoons and late night) and bar.

Coo Cafe Bread Or Rice 
1049 Bloor St W.

Wow, chicken schnitzel sandwich, pulled beef dog and yakitori don all on one menu. What are you waiting for?

John Conrad  
3078 Dundas St. W.

This Junction spot by the folks of Littlefish offers up comfort foods such as Chicken Pot Pie with cheesy mash and savoury gravy, alongside burgers and beers. 

The Maharaja Boutique Restaurant
4646 Heritage Hills Blvd.

This fine dining Indian restaurant located in Mississauga opens their doors on Tuesday.

Morals Village Hot Pot
36 Dundas St. W.

All-you-can-eat hot pot from the chain that has over 600 locations in China? ‘Nuff said.

Quattro e Quattr8
2059 Yonge St.

The menu features Eggplant Parmigiana from Nonna Maria’s recipe, and a long list of pizzas including:
- potatoes, fresh salmon, fior di latte and dill.
- portobello mushrooms, bacon, cherry tomatoes, fior di latte and arugula pesto
- broccoli and Italian sausage.

XO Bisous
60 Adelaide St. E.

Owner and Pastry Chef Genna Steckel studied at Ecole Nationale Superior de la Pastisserie in France. On the menu - her options for breakfast and lunch, along with a host of pastries.

Changes:

One Pizza is now called True. True. Aiming to reopen Tuesday, the new spot by the same owners will be adding alcohol and other menu items, alongside their pizzas.

Closed:

Carens Yorkville is closing on Saturday, with the Rosedale location staying put.

Il Fresco's windows are all papered up.

Monarchs Pub and bb33 are now closed at the Eaton Chelsea Hotel.

Long-standing Zoe’s on King West is gone after 18 years. Taking it’s place: Decadent Catering.
