Savour York Region Restaurant Week – 10 days of pre-fixe menus

he tenth annual commemorative edition of Savour York Region Restaurant Week begins Thursday, October 13.

For ten days, enjoy three-course meals - appetizer, entrée and dessert - for a special price: lunch $15 or $20, and dinner for $25, $35 or $45 (gratuities & taxes extra).

This is an opportunity to try new restaurants or head out to your usual haunts north of the downtown core.

There are many Italian choices including al Fogolâr Restaurant with specialties from the Friuli Venezia Giulia region. Spigolo Ristorante's entrees include Costoletta di Vitello (8 oz. grilled veal chop) and Potato Gnocchi with gorgonzola cheese in a cream sauce. Piacere Ristorante is serving a starter of Finocchio alla Sicilana with fennel, sweet oranges and black olives tossed in housemade vinaigrette, and grilled tender Rack Of Lamb drizzled with olive oil, herbs and spices.

Unique to this event, select restaurants are offering as many as five options for appetizers and entrees. Menu items are suitable for vegetarians, pescetarians, and as meat-lovers.

Reservations are strongly recommended and can be made by calling the restaurants directly.
