Toronto Taste – Raising funds for food rescue

One of the biggest and best food events in the city – Toronto Taste, presented by The Daniels Corporation – takes place this Sunday, June 4. It also happens to be in support of a very important cause.

Toronto’s original premier culinary event and fundraiser celebrates its 27th year with a blow-out bash featuring over 90 of the city’s best restaurants and beverage purveyors – all in support of Second Harvest, Canada’s largest food rescue charity.

Take in the exquisite lakeside views of Corus Quay, while trying new dishes by top Toronto chefs and choosing from a wide array of wine and beer.

There are also exciting raffle draw prizes including $10,000 USD in flight vouchers from Delta Air Lines, a live auction to win the chance to dine at Bob Blumer’s home in L.A., and a food tour of New Orleans with Chef Roger Mooking.

A limited number of tickets are now available. Tickets are $260 each, with a $150 tax receipt. Every ticket sold enables Second Harvest to rescue and deliver enough food to provide over 520 meals for adults, children and seniors in need in Toronto. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit torontotaste.ca or call 416-408-2594.

Since 1991, the event has raised over $12 million in support of Second Harvest's food rescue program. This has enabled the organization to rescue enough fresh, surplus food to support hundreds of social service agencies across the GTA with more than 29 million meals for children, adults and seniors experiencing hunger in the city.
