From a quick coffee and patty on the go to fine dining in one of the city’s newest hotels, you’ve got options to suit every mood and occasion this week.

OPEN
Turkish eatery Best Istanbul Restaurant just landed in Kensington Market (235 Augusta Ave.). Doors opened yesterday, with the grand opening to follow in a few weeks.
Ever expanding Butter Chicken Roti settled into new digs at Yonge & Gloucester (646 Yonge St.).
Chaveta Coffee (994 Bathurst St.) debuted Tuesday. The Seaton Village café offers a variety of coffees and pastries, with sandwiches to be added next week.
Concord in the City’s Coffee Shop (3407 Lake Shore Blvd. W.) just launched next door to their HQ - Concord in the City, a day program or adults with special needs with a focus on life, social and job skill training. Grab tea and coffee in compostable, recyclable cups or bring your own. Note: Cash only, and hours of operation are currently limited to Mon-Wed 10am to noon.
Scarborough’s Fahmee Bakery & Jamaican Foods brings its freshly baked Jamaican comfort food – patties, jerk chicken, and coco bread - to the downtown core (584 Landsdowne Ave.).
Doors opened yesterday for Lucca Ristorante (308 Dundas St. W.), the new concept by previous occupant, Provo Foodbar.
nutbar’s third superfood snack café makes its way eastside to Leslieville (899 Queen St. E). Grand opening celebrations take place Saturday 7am-7pm.
Fine dining Mediterranean restaurant and raw bar Pétros82, located in Hotel X Toronto (111 Princes' Blvd.), begins service tomorrow.
Phosome Restaurant (480 Parliament St.) takes over from previous home to Pho Pas Social Bistro in Cabbagetown. Same owners, different management this time. Open daily 11am to 11pm.
CLOSED
Dogs & Coffee (6 Markham St.) - home of the ‘Pupkin Spice Latte’ - has shuttered.
Longstanding Ontario Restaurant (383 Dundas St. E.) in Regent Park shut down.
Thai Fantasy (578 Yonge St.) closed up shop at Yonge & Wellesley, but is set to reopen somewhere in the GTA.
EVENTS
The 10th anniversary of Toronto Beer Week kicks off tomorrow.
North America’s largest Ukrainian festival, Bloor West Village Toronto Ukrainian Festival takes place this weekend, as does North America’s largest celebration of Polish culture, Roncesvalles Polish Festival.
The 9th annual Toronto Garlic Festival takes over Artscape Wychwood Barns on Sunday.
