After a two-year hiatus, food festivals and events are back and better than ever. This month’s spectacular lineup is jam-packed with festivities celebrating everything from bbq to butter tarts. The only challenge? Trying to fit it all in.

LAKESHORE RIBFEST
1 Colonel Samuel Smith Park Dr.

Celebrate the long weekend with award-winning BBQ smoked ribs, pulled pork, juicy smoked brisket, bbq chicken, smoked sausage and beef "dino" ribs. Walk the grounds with iconic festival fare  including roasted corn, poutine, funnel cakes, and Tiny Tom donuts. Grab a brew at the Great Lakes Beer Garden. Live music lineup includes Tributes to Bob Marley, The Tragically Hip and AC/DC, in addition to performances by local bands.

LOVE, SCARBOROUGH FESTIVAL
Street Eats Market - 500 Progress Ave.

Scarborough Health Network Foundation presents a special collaboration with Street Eats Market sponsored by Scarborough Town Centre to createa massive food and drink fundraising event celebrating all things Scarborough.. Taste over 200 menu items , enjoy live cooking demos, sample tastings and more. Take in dance performances, live bands & DJs, grab a drink on one of Toronto’s largest outdoor patios and bars, spanning over 40,000 square feet.

Proceeds will support Scarborough Health Network Foundation’s Love, Scarborough campaign and key upgrades for Scarborough hospitals - Birchmount, Centenary, and General.

Head to Bloor Street between Jane and Runnymede for Bloor West Village BIA’s fourth annual Bloor West StreetFest. The tent-lined strip will feature an outdoor artisan market, live music, entertainment, carnival rides, and food vendors. Grab a bite/drink at local restaurants indoors or out on the patio.

Celebrating 15 years, Bloordale's art and culture fest returns with a marketplace, art, games, patios, and multiple stages.

Earlscourt Park - St. Clair Ave W. & Caledonia Rd.

Canada's biggest Brazilian cultural event highlights the best food, music, art and entertainment from the Brazilian community. Take in the sights and sounds while enjoying traditional Brazilian fare.

THE ONTARIO OYSTER FESTIVAL 2022 - THE 'OYSTER' VARIANT
Locomotive Hall - Steam Whistle Brewery - 255 Bremner Blvd.

The annual celebration of all things oyster returns with great food, drinks and oyster shuckers competing in the Ontario Oyster Opening Championships. The cashless event hosted by Rodney’s Oyster House is raising funds for the Ecology Action Centre's shoreline preservation efforts.

Enjoy street food, shop the artisan market, play games, take in an electric car rally, and much more at the Mississauga event is in n partnership with MP for Mississauga-Streetsville Rechie Valdez, StyleWorthy by Jennifer Rabanillo, and Electric Vehicle Society.

“Canada’s premier celebration of the golden beverage,” presented by The Beer Store, features tons of suds, grub, and live music including performances by Nas, Sam Roberts Band, The Strumbellas, The Revivalists, and Matt Mays.

Making its global debut in Canada., he 30,000-square-foot Barbie interactive attraction features life-size installations that are sure to capture imaginations across generations. SUMMER IN CANARY FRONT STREET FESTIVAL

The inaugural event boastts 60+ local artisan vendors, exciting buskers and entertainment, face painter, henna artist, balloon artist, retail specials and fun activities from local businesses and restaurants in the heart of the Canary District.

The 20th annual free street festival in Gerrard India Bazaar boasts live music, performances, family-friendly activities, local vendors, and plenty of food and drinks.

The “largest weekly open-air food market in America” touches down in the 6ix with dozens of local vendors available Saturdays throughout the summer.

AGINCOURT BLOCK PARTY + COMMUNITY ART SHOWCASE
Milliken District Park - 5555 Steeles Ave. E.

A block party and art showcase is the final instalment of Toronto Ward Museum’s Banig, Pai, Mafrash free art workshop series exploring themes of home, longing and belonging using cross-cultural objects and imagery from picnics, BBQs and other outdoor gatherings as artistic prompts.

Enjoy free food, music from local artists, memory-sharing from local storytellers, and workshop creations displayed and performed by participants.

LE DÎNER EN BLANC TORONTO
Undisclosed location

The Toronto edition of the international luxe dining series returns for the ninth instalment. Guests are required to wear solely white and bring their own table, chairs, tablecloth and picnic basket  to attend the dinner under the stars, held in a secret location.

This year’s pop-up epicurean event includes a a new culinary offering from Chef Patrick Kriss of Alo in addition to selections by longtime catering partner Food Dudes.

TORONTO CARIBBEAN CARNIVAL

Celebrating the 55th anniversary of the Grande Parade which was first gifted to Canada by the Caribbean Community during Canada’s centennial celebrations, the Toronto Caribbean Carnival is a spectacular display of costumes, music, and culture. 

This Caribbean tradition of parading through the street was founded in celebration of freedom and emancipation from slavery and is appropriately celebrated on what has been recognized by the Canadian government as Emancipation Day weekend.

SCARBOROUGH RIBFEST

The celebration of all things barbecue, organized by the Rotary Club of Scarborough, represents the club's largest annual fundraising event, celebrating 21 years of success. The weekend will be filled with food and entertainment, made for the whole family.

Back for another summer of great eats, this year’s roster includes 35+ vendors, daily eating challenges, and live entertainment.

PARKDALE CARIBBEAN FOOD FEST

The inaugural outdoor event presented by Parkdale Hall in partnership with Parkdale Village BIA and Kolors Barbershop & Lounge, Caribbean food vendors, art, crafts, and live entertainment.

TORONTO BLACK VEGAN FESTIVAL

The second annual vegan celebration by Black Vegans of Toronto highlights delicacies with unique African and Caribbean flavours. The indoor/outdoor event will also feature skincare and other health products/services developed and sold by African/Caribbean entrepreneurs.

The Toronto Centre of Learning & Development’s Cultural Bazaar 2022 in Regent Park takes place every Friday from 5-9pm until September 2.

The free event includes multicultural food, artisanal products, and fun fair treats such as cotton candy and popcorn for sale, live music, henna, raffles and much more. Take part in Yoga in the Park 5:30pm-6:30pm. (Please bring your own mat.)
